Haley Berube
Haley is a passionate 28 year old artist, farmer, and educator.
She began her life of service on the board of Worcester Roots Project, a non-profit that operated a community center in Worcester, MA and fiscally sponsored cooperatives with social and environmental change missions in inner city Worcester.
She worked diligently at one of the cooperatives supported by Worcester Roots while serving on the board from ages 16-18.
Since that time, she has worked on sustainable farms, travelled to Nicaragua to teach English, managed a trauma-informed child care center and become involved in the life-changing organization known as permatours.
She is now working as a farmer- educator at a local CSA farm that employs teens for a month-long summer apprenticeship program to learn about community, organic farming, and a life of stewardship.
Haley's greatest passions are access to the arts and regenerative food systems for underprivileged youth, and community mental health support. She wants to create more access for youth to be involved in growing food within urban areas.
She is interested in helping Permatours grow through grant writing and seeking out/ creating programming that impacts youth and families in underserved communities.
