October 2022
Yay for colorful trees and the cool fall breeze! Permatours is getting warmed up for our upcoming Soil Science Panel, our last few events in New England before the snow falls, and partnerships with communities in the South and overseas to keep the tour going all winter long!
SOIL SCIENCE PANEL
Join us on Tuesday, 10/18/2022 at 3pm EST on ZOOM for a free Soil Science panel discussion and Q&A with Soil Food Web stewards, Dr. Adam Cobb and Navona Gallegos, who will speak to their research and findings on what makes healthy soil.
Also known as nature's soil operating system, the Soil Food Web refers to the complex relationships between the diverse groups of fauna and flora found in soil, with the composition of each web influenced by biological, chemical and physical forces in the environment. MAIN STREET MEADOW TRANSFORMATION | AN EVERETT CITY PROJECT
Join us Saturday, October 22nd from 10 am to 2 pm in Everett, MA to transform a barren road side into an abundant ecosystem. We’ll work with organic material - including compost, wood chips, & cardboard, to create an environment where the soil (and the life that it feeds) can thrive!
While we co-create, we’ll hear from Scott Guzman of Diggers Co-operative on what makes healthy soil and celebrate the abundance she provides!
Please register on eventbrite here.
