Rise-Now & Kawasiwajo Community Land Trust

Warner, NH

Our host, Bret, is the co-founder of non-profit Rise Now and a part of The Kawasiwajo Community Land Trust - two organizations we’re excited to support as they align with Permatours mission and values.

With Bret’s facilitation and instruction, Permatours’ community helped support the construction of a strawbale and earthen plaster home in 2021 and we’re excited to return this summer to continue learning about and practicing natural building!

Kawasiwajo Community Land Trust is a non-profit organization, in the process of formation, that connects people to place and builds local resilience in the Warner NH area.  KCLT creates resilience and connection in the Kearsarge community through the intersection of land and housing.

KCLT serves the community through property stewardship and education, holding lands and buildings in common to provide a framework for:

  • Stable and equitable housing

  • Regenerative agriculture

  • Local economic revitalization

  • Ecological vitality and open space preservation

  • Equity, Justice, Indigenous Land Rights

RISE Now's is a non-profit grassroots volunteer organization committed to bringing people together through community-building events, projects, and our publication.

The organization aims to empower individuals as they find ways to take action in service of others and the environment. Recognizing that human connections and relationships are what motivate people to take action, RISE Now is committed to gathering people together to move the work ahead.

"It will not be a strong leader or government that will bring real lasting change, but a multitude of responsible individuals taking action in their own communities. Regenerate, Integrate, Sustain and Enjoy!"
