Wind “Rheanna” Woodford

Wind is a nature loving, soul searching, barefoot walking human who came here to live her life heart forward.

Outside of Permatours & the community gathering world, Wind works full time in the mental health care field as an employment specialist, and with her MHRT/C, she describes her life as having a foot in both worlds.

She graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with her Bachelor’s of Science in Rehabilitation Services. After Wind graduated from UMF, she then spent 2 seasons working at Maine Huts and Trails, a system of off-grid eco lodges nestled in the Western Maine mountains.

Walking in solitude in the woods was where she discovered her passion for spoken word poetry. She began channeling her rhythmic rhymes while hiking on those mountain trails, and now has performed her poems from festivals to fires, and of course, to the seen and unseen creatures of the woods.

Wind first connected with Permatours through the Sacred Nectar Sanctuary gatherings. She was on the main organizing team for the gatherings at Sacred Nectar for 3 years, and her friends at Permatours would show up, host workshops, and connect with the community we were building there.

Wind has recently joined Permatours on the Program Development team and Operations team, and also can be found capturing the sweet moments during our in-person workshops and events. She then shares them on our social media pages in hopes of capturing the beauty of these events, and to spread the awareness that we are building the new Earth now and you are welcomed to join.

Wind is so very grateful to be involved in Permatours, and being in a position of service to others. She believes that, although the world seems to be falling apart in many ways, this organization and community is making our world a bit more beautiful.
