 To offer an update, Permatours had a blast capturing interviews at Maine Fungi Fest.  You can check out our video interviews and podcast interviews that have been published thus far, centered around the healing power of fungi, plants, & community. Naturally, we've got events coming up to share with you. Here's a summary of what's in store, with more details below:

 2) A Virtual Listening Party in collaboration with Restor-a-thon to hear from those in East Palestine, Ohio affected by the train derailment that led to a toxic chemical spill (in an effort to collaborate with them around creating an action plan)

A Listening Party To Hear From Those Affected By The Toxic Chemical Spill in East Palestine, Ohio 

June 17th, Virtual

BACKGROUND: On February 3, 2023, a Norfolk Southern freight train carrying 20 cars of varying hazardous materials derailed in East Palestine, Ohio. Dubbed "The American Chernobyl," this catastrophe is still causing widespread ecological damage in the Ohio River Valley, which is home to endangered species as well as a water source for 12 million people.

 CALL TO ACTION: Join us to restore this vital watershed in East Palestine, Ohio. We're calling in the use of drones, automated electric tractors, and AI-guided remediation plans to deploy rapid solutions and celebrate our success. 

 Stay tuned for details on the time of the event and whether we'll also be gathering in person. Watch past episodes about the issue & our efforts to galvanize support and coordinate here.

A Cob Oven, Rocket Stove, & Timber Frame Build

at Sacred Nectar Sanctuary in Sandwich, NH, June 16th-18th 

We love events at Sacred Nectar Sanctuary and we're excited to head back in support of this learn-by-doing build!

 The kitchen will have a rain catchment system for dishes, two rocket stoves, and an extra large cob oven for making loaves of bread and pizza!

 You'll get the opportunity to harvest clay from the fields as well as learn how to run and operate a saw mill! Email nick to secure your spot: nickthorndike32@gmail.com 

A Benefit Concert & Celebration

at the Waterfall Unity Alliance July 29th-30th in West Fulton, NY

This event aims to celebrate the rich Native American culture, promote environmental stewardship, and showcase the diverse talents within the Mohawk community.

 The extravaganza will include dance, music, and performances, as well as thought-provoking ceremonies that honor our shared connection to the land.

 Immerse yourself in art installations highlighting the inspiring community projects and initiatives led by the Waterfall Unity Alliance!

 Participate in various workshops in which you can engage in crafting, cooking, and music sessions - deepening your understanding of Native American traditions and fostering a sense of unity.

 Explore a vibrant marketplace featuring Mohawk creators who share the Waterfall Unity Alliance's vision of sustainable practices and cultural preservation.

 We invite you and others who support Native American reclamation and land stewardship to join us at this remarkable gathering.
