Construction & Gardening With Indigenous Leader, Roger, of The Waterfall Unity Alliance in Hogansburg, NY

Calling all Permatour-ers for help with collecting bark for the Schoharie Longhouse, as well as gardening and outhouse shower construction. People who know how to use a chainsaw would be especially helpful with bark collection. This project is part of a larger vision for Roger Kanerahtiio Jock, a Mohawk Vision Keeper, of the Waterfall Unity Alliance, to return to his ancestral land.

"It is a message of peace and unity that needs to travel far and wide. Now more than ever, we need to go beyond the politics of separation and come together to face the existential challenges of our time. Most people are still grappling with how to do that — but here, in the Mohawk Valley, a powerful vision has taken root."

We'll camp out and have access to the community center which includes a kitchen with a fridge and a freezer, bathrooms, and an outdoor shower.
